I had a fantastic day at the Decatur Book Festival in Atlanta yesterday! I met so many lovely readers and fellow authors, and I’m delighted to say Half Moon Bay continues to be my bestselling novel.
I mean, that cover art, though. E. M. Lawrence did such an amazing job with that art, who is surprised?
It also just received 8.25/10 critique rating from The BookLife Prize for indie books, so I’m incredibly proud that my second published book baby is holding her own!
That rating just might qualify Half Moon Bay for the BookLife Prize Finalists of 2025, so we’ll cross our fingers for now!

My little son is recovering beautifully after a very scary week in the hospital, so while I remain rather sleep deprived, we’re doing much better. I’m also eagerly awaiting my new record from my favorite band Avatar, “Don’t Go in the Forest.” I just finished reading Don’t Let the Forest In by CG Drews, so I can’t help but find the similarities there amusing. Forest rot is in, ya’ll.
